Just to note - the reason I've not been updating here much is that I've been moving, and my wife and I have been doing most of the schlepping ourselves. The moving company moved furniture, but pretty much everything else (25-plus years of home-ownership accumulates a LOT of stuff) is being moved by us. Lots of boxes, lots of other things too...and trying to fit them all into a smaller space than I've lived in since college. In fact, I feel like I've been "moving into the dorm" for 4 weeks straight. A time-consuming, exhausting, brain-draining experience. I don't recommend it.

Verizon/Broadband woes

Still no broadband at home, thanks in large part to Verizon incompetence. Their field technicians seem to be bright, effective, and anxious to do the best work they can, and their customer service folks are the same way (with just a few exceptions). But somewhere in the black hole of Verizon there's a deep gravity-well of incompetence that sucks in all that great customer orientation of the support and tech folks, making their best efforts hard to see and largely irrelevant. 'Tis a shame...
